Conference in Prague: Terezín Declaration – Ten Years Later

On June 18 – 19, 2019 the 7th International Conference on Nazi looted cultural assets organized by the Documentation Centre of Property Transfers of the Cultural assets of WW II Victims will be held in Prague.

The title of the conference reflects its goals of commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Terezín Declaration and evaluating recent progress in matters concerning cultural assets spoliated during the Second World War. The conference will also compare differing approaches to property restitution by different countries, as well as explore ways of strengthening international cooperation in provenance research.

This international event will take place in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. As a part of the accompanying program for the participants an opening of the exhibition Returning Identity will take place there. The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the introduction of the Nuremberg Laws to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

The conference is organized with a financial support of Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and under the auspices of the President of the Senat of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Kubera, President of the Chamber of the Deputies of the Czech Republic Radek Vondráček, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček and Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic Antonín Staněk.

Unfortunately, the capacity of the conference hall has been filled and the registrations to the conference are closed.
