Application deadline: March 15, 2024

The ambition of this day is to put the work carried out by the Academy of Traces in Berlin back into practice, by opening it up to perspectives in Italy. The workshop will be structured around four themes:
- Return / Repatriate
- Represent / Exhibit
- Acquire / Appropriate
- Imagine / Perform
Each theme will be the subject of a session, structured into four short presentations not exceeding 5 minutes. These “impulses” will provide the material for a discussion of 45 minutes which will be moderated by team members of the Académie des Traces, the Villa Médicis and the Museo delle Civilità. The languages of intervention will be French and English – without translation.
Proposals for impulses, linked to one of the four thematic axes, must include a title, a summary, as well as a short biography. The application must be written in the same language as the language chosen for the intervention (French or English).
Proposals linked to Italy (museums, collections, collectors, etc.) will be favored.
The event will take place online and at the Villa Médicis (hybrid format). Travel and accommodation costs will not be covered.
